Contemporary LINES vs Classical La Bayadere

The first dancer is from LINES, and while en pointe, she still looks downward, making her seem smaller than she really is. Her legs and arms are bent at more extreme angles, not structured softly and more graceful than a classical ballet. The second dance from La Bayadere is looking up and out, with her legs in long, structured lines, with her free hand soft near her neck. This is much more elegant than the sharper, more intense contemporary dancer, who is grounded, whereas the classical dance is lofty.
