Romeo Meets Juliet

The first thing that really stood out to me was the musicality of the piece. The movements of the dancers reflected the sound of the music, so that was entertaining to see the contrasts. Juliet’s dance in the beginning reminded me of something I would see in The Nutcracker – like she was a wind up doll on a pedestal. Romeo was so light on his feet and effortless in his movement, and the emotions shown by both dancers made this piece come to life.

  1. I also think that the music was very influential to this piece. The musicality really got the feelings of the scene across to the audience. I also really liked the costumes. They were very colorful and extravagant.
