Romeo & Juliet Ballet

After watching this video I could not think of a dance style that I have recently seen depicting the beauty and the art as ballet does! Watching this particular Romeo and Juliet dance with one another on a stage with minimal props and costumes that were not “outstanding” was a sort of risk, but one that I am pleased that they took. If they had taken the route to have more props on the stage or grand costumes I believe that it would have demeaned the purpose the dancers were intending on the viewers having. The amount of space on the stage allowed the dancers to show the passion and love that should, but unfortunately isn’t, always be portrayed when watching a play of the two characters.
